So… what’s been going on with all of you guys? Over here, I’ve suddenly been inspired to write a sequel to Art of Death, the novel I’ll have out in print and e-book this summer. Lol, nothing’s more inspiring than a deadline, and mine is June 1 for the sequel’s manuscript. And today’s voting incentive is actually kind of sort of related to Art of Death! The major theme of the story is, well, art, and I’ve been thinking about what I want to do for the cover (since I also do covers for Dreamspinner Press). I really want to do something with a traditionally painted look, and my muse for this project is Caravaggio. (well, not him personally, but his art. heh…) So in order to warm up, I thought about what it would look like if Pogo were to pose for Caravaggio, and the resulting sketch is my new voting incentive! I call it: “Watch Me Eat Grapes.” And it’s totally ridiculous.
Speaking of voting incentives, I finished last month at (I think) #59 on TWC! That’s another all time high! I didn’t check in the last couple hours, but I don’t think it would have fallen during that time. I would be VERY INTERESTED to hear what you all would like to see as voting incentives this month. Anything in particular? What do you like? Original sketches, mini comics, more ferret photos, something else?
And finally, just a reminder that it’s April now, so I’m back to one update per week. Feel free to come back on Thursday if you really really miss me and/or Pogo, but there won’t be any new page. I really liked doing the two pages per week, but I have to admit my work schedule was a little crazy last month as a result!
