As I mentioned last week, we’re getting weekly pages this January thanks to hitting 7K subscribers on Webtoon! We’re getting a scene change next week, and we’ll see Pogo again very very soon! 😀
Now, the bad news. Webtoon finally revealed their new Patreon support program, and I’m going from $300 in December support to ZERO this month and onward. I’m very sad. 🙁 It’ll be $100 if/when I hit 10K, but that will take awhile. Basically, Webtoon’s thresholds are likely too high now to fund future bonus pages. But let’s still try for 10K subs because $100 is a lot better than nothing, and it DOES help cover the work!
So anyway, Patreon is gonna be more important than ever for keeping DOTU going. The Patreon goal for more pages is now much closer than the Webtoon goal. But I lost patrons in December when Patreon almost decided to charge fees, and only a few of them came back after Patreon changed its mind. So if you were thinking about pledging on Patreon, I’d especially appreciate it now!
Ko-fi donations are another option! I’m currently using it to cover expenses, but I was thinking about using it to pay toward bonus pages or bonus art. Anyone have any opinions?
And finally, it’s a new month, and a new voting incentive on TopWebcomics! Votes have been difficult with 2x monthly updates, but let’s get back in the top 100 this month with weekly pages! 😀 This week’s incentive is a preview crop of December’s nsfw-ish Patreon secret gallery illustration.
