Latest updates on the “new website” Patreon goal we met – I’ve been working on resizing all my pages to 800px wide, as promised. There are now 245 pages, so it took a huge chunk of time, especially because I was also fixing the old, less legible lettering on everything before chapter 3, page 90. I’ve uploaded the new versions of all pages in chapter 1 and chapter 2, and chapter 3 pages 1-35 and 97-114. So that means I only have 60 pages left to upload! We’re still using the old site design, so the pages will still only display at 600px wide, but they will look cleaner and crisper in the meantime. How noticeable it is probably depends on your monitor and how closely you’re looking.
There are only ten pages left of the chapter, and I’ll take another break at that point. It’ll be a shorter break than my winter break. But I think that would be the best time to make the actual switch to the new website, because I want to do it during a low-traffic time. Ten pages is exactly two months worth of pages, so that’s pretty soon! But it should still be enough time for me to finish the designs and do (or outsource) the coding.
And a little note on Merritt’s story on Patreon – I noticed that the inline versions of chapter 5 and chapter 6 lost a bit of formatting when I copied from word, so they weren’t showing the scene breaks they were supposed to show. I’ve fixed it since then, and the PDFs didn’t have the problem. But I apologize to anyone who may have been confused by any of the scene transitions in those chapters since, well, they disappeared. Now that I know about it, it shouldn’t happen again. Also, April rewards are coming this week.
And finally, I’m super behind on replying to emails, so if you’re waiting on one from me, I promise I’ll get to it ASAP!
