So I’m guessing a lot of you in the U.S. have today off? If so, I hope you’re enjoying it! Lately I’ve been wondering, I know from Google Analytics that most of you are in the U.S., but I do also have many readers from other countries. Those of you who don’t mind sharing, I’d love to know what country you’re in. Some of you I already know, and some I might be able to guess based on certain phrases and slang, but I could always be wrong with that.
On another note, I can’t believe the month of double updates is almost over! This week’s bonus update will either be late Thursday or Friday morning. I do have some freelance to fit in, but not as much as last week.
This week’s TopWebcomics voting incentive is a little weird. I have a palette file with grayscale and color swatches that I use for DOTU, but lately I’ve found it quicker to just grab from the flats layer of a previous page. (If you’re unfamiliar with the term, flat shading is where you block in basic solid colors without highlights or shadows.) Anyway, when I grabbed that layer, I thought Pogo and Samsid were really cute. ^_^ And it also got me doing some fun warm-up sketches drawing my characters using a similar blocking technique (which I’ll share next week).
